The winter holiday season is a busy time of year for many, and the Inkscripted Studios team spends much of our December helping our corporate clients close out the year with holiday parties. But knowing that many employees go on vacation during this period and often times, schedules just don’t match up during this hectic season, clients like Adobe choose to get their teams together at the beginning of the new year. This was our second year working with the Adobe team on their Joyfest celebration.
The Adobe planning team wanted to find an engaging and unique way to create name badges for employees to wear at their annual Joyfest. While we did have a separate “Self-Service Calligraphy” area placed just next to our calligraphy station for employees who preferred the option of writing their own names, our team was brought in to make your ordinary name badges a little extra special. The Inkscripted Studios team consisted of 3 artists and 1 assistant (as well as an honorary assistant from the Adobe team supporting us throughout the evening).
With an expected guest count of 500+, we definitely needed a multi-artist team to ensure that there was no bottleneck at the front doors, right after check-in. Another perk of having multiple calligraphy artists is that we are able to offer additional styles for your guests to choose from, for the ultimate customized experience.
Each artist offered two styles for guests to choose from: (1) plain, sans-serif style and (1) fancier, handwriting style. In under a minute, our artists completed the name badge, our assistant would be ready to hand guests a lanyard, and they were on their way to enjoy the rest of the event!
As live event calligraphers working corporate events, it’s always a treat when our customizations are well-received— even for something as simple and relatively straightforward as name badges. And seeing Adobe employees proudly wearing their one-of-a-kind handwritten nametags throughout the entirety of the event was a win in our books and such a fun way to kick off 2026!
